Brian has been a software developer for almost 20 years. Brian completed his B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. at the University of Saskatchewan, both in Computer Science. Brian frequently works with languages such as Java, Python, Scala, and C#. Brian’s key areas of interest are in software design and database design. Brian has worked for years with SQL Server, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
Besides programming, one of Brian’s big passions is travelling. Brian has toured Kyrgyztan, London, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Kuching, Alaska, Beijing, Taiwan, Romania, Switzerland, Thailand, and Hong Kong, just to name a few. Brian is currently working on improving his very basic Mandarin vocabulary since he travels to Malaysia and Taiwan once or twice a year.
